Florida Wedding

The actual reason I went to Florida was not to swim in the ocean, ride the waves, pick oranges, soak in the sunshine, see palm trees, etc. The real reason was to attend this wedding and make sure that all the bridesmaid dresses fit the girls! :)

When Kori asked me to sew her bridesmaid dresses I was delighted! What a treat. She had a dress that she bought that she really liked, but there was no pattern close to it...so then came the fun challenge of designing a pattern.

She was one of the least stressed brides I've ever seen! Due to the fact that 5 out of the 8 bridesmaids lived far away from me the dresses weren't done months ahead of time. We were down to the wire on some of them, but she was never anxiously peering over my shoulder as I sewed. She always had a sweet smile and encouraging attitude. I was stressing out way more than she was! Kori, it was a total joy to sew for you:)

The absolutely stunning bride!!

Another reason for going to this amazing wedding was to do hair! I love to do hair and was thrilled to do all the Wissmann girl's hair.

The week before the wedding we hustled Kori into the bathroom, turned on some soft music, plugged in the curling iron, gave her a foot/hand massage and I played around with her hair. The end result was breathtaking. The soft curls pulled back from her face...ahh!! And I think she liked it too because she canceled her hair appointment at the salon and I was set do the hair of my first bride!!

Here is a side/back view

Here is just the back

We started around 10 am and finished up at 2:30:) Nicole kept curling, and curling, and curling. And I kept pinning, and pinning, and pinning and pinning. We went through an insane amount of bobby pins:)

All the bridesmaids were stunning...but I was quite partial to the style Elizabeth chose. Loose curls swept into a side knot of curls, it became her perfectly!

The flower girls were just too adorable...and I loved their flower balls!

Here you can see a little bit of the bodice on the dresses. It was a crossover style with pleats and raglan sleeves. The perfect dress for a Florida wedding!

Hannah and Susanna were the perfect guestbook attendant duo. And they were so patient with me, as they kept getting pushed to the end of the line as I was trying to get the bridesmaids ready for pictures! :)

Rachel in all her snazzyness!

All of them together!

And I just had to throw this picture in here...because I like it! It's the head table at the reception. Seriously, I so wish I was the worlds most talented photographer so I could have taken pictures to show you how incredible this wedding was! It was breathtaking, beautiful and God honoring! I loved every bit of it!
