Goodbyes are never easy!

After looking at all the stuff he had to pack, loading the car turned out to be somewhat of a daunting task! How he fit all of his stuff in one little Honda still amazes me!At about 4:30am the goodbyes started. It was not an easy thing to end.

I am so thankful that I got to travel with him: )

It was a long day of driving but we finally made it to his new apartment! It was pretty nice!

::The kitchen::

His new little study corner: )
For those of you who want to send him letters, packages..his address is;
105 W O street
Purcellville, VA 20132
I am sure he would love to hear from you!
Can't wait to see you again Dan: )

21 hours later...at 2:00am

Dan and I drove into Purcellville, VA. For me it's just a visit..but for him...it's a new home.
When Dan was told about the opportunity of being a legal defense attorney with HSLDA with Mike Donnelly in May, I never thought that July 18th I would be driving out to Virgina with him to help him get settled into his apartment. But here I am..in VA, with Dan in his new apartment.
Dan knows this is right where God wants him to be, and I am looking forward to see how God uses him here!
But...its not going to easy living without him: )

My Family...

Tonight we had a Family Picnic in honor of Dan leaving! It was so much fun...but at the same time...difficult to think that we all won't be together again for a long time...

Do you know about Jesus...

that is the theme song for this year at 5-day club. Esther, Anna Baltensperger and I have decided we could sing that song in our sleep! For those of you who didn't know, Esther and I were gone this past week teaching clubs in Johnson, NE with Anna B. We taught 5 clubs every day, and all of them but 1 were at Day cares. It is such a privilege to be able to teach little kids, some of which don't even know who Jesus is, about God!

Throughout the week one of the songs we focused on was "Work on Your Attitudes". It is a fun, joyful song with actions. After singing it, we would challenged the kids to try and purposefully change their attitudes that same day. When we asked how many had worked on their attitudes the next day, many of the children told of specific examples of how they worked on the attitudes the day before! Even the teacher told us that she had noticed a difference!
Some highlight of the week were;

~9 children accepted Jesus as their personal Saviour!

~ 3 children were assured of their salvation

~ We were able to witness firsthand a calf being pulled at the Baltensperger farm

~We met Anna's special guy, Kenny Pyle (I was so sad ..I forgot to get a picture)

~ One of the hostesses gave us some money and a coupon, so we got to go out to Subway for lunch a couple times: )

~We took home some fresh cherries that we had picked and pitted ourselves from the B's cherry tree.

~Listening to the preschoolers say John 3:16 by themselves at the end of the week

~Watching the kids interact with "Daisy" our puppet, was so fun, they loved her so much!~My little niece Elise was born, that was definitely a highlight! To see more pictures of her click Here

C & A's Move!

Caleb and Abby, because they loved me so much, decided to wait until I got back from CYIA to move...actually the floors took a little bit longer then expected, much to my great joy! So Wednesday, the 25th at about 6:00 in the evening the moving crew arrived and the fun began: )

Dan and Aaron hauling the hide-a-bed

Mrs. Grady
Ben Stangl came and was lots of fun and a huge help

Mrs. Larsen took the least favorite job of vacuuming the apartment
Once all the boxes were outside there was nothing for us to do except encourage the movers
Mr. Powers showed up and was such a stinker not that we were surprised *smile* What an enjoyable evening!

Well I finally got around to posting more pictures of CYIA! Hope you enjoy them: )
