Dan's visit

It was such fun having Dan back for a visit!

One of the highlights for him was getting to see his favorite niece! And she was just tickled pink to see her "favorite" uncle! They had a blast together!

Steve was bouncing up and down waiting for his buddy to get off the plane!
It was a short visit but a good one! We can't wait to see him in just about a month!
Love ya, you amazing brother you: )

Biking

Here are some pictures of Josh's bike race!
That's a pretty cool biker if ya ask me: )

He's coming back...

at least for a visit!

It is going to be so fun to have him home again for the weekend! Josiah and Abi's wedding made a good excuse for him to fly back! His plane gets in Friday morning! Can't wait to see you again Dan!

End of Summer Party

It started out as a "pool party" but due to the sudden cool weather Grace Waldo decided that a fun girls end of summer/beginning of fall party was just as fun! And it was!

First we all washed our hands with Nicole's homemade hand scrub. Then we headed out to the deck and dipped our hands in a special wax..our hands were so soft afterwards! Everybody brought their fingernail polish and started doing each others nails. (we had quite the collection of polish, I wish I would have gotten a picture of them all)

~Friends~

Trying to find their cherry in a bowl of whipped cream....for the sake the contestants I won't put pictures of what they looked like afterwards...*smile*
After some exciting games outside such as "Human Tic-tac-toe" and Volleyball we decided to come in and play a rousing game of Occupational Cherades!

Believe me it was very amusing!
(Ellie really doesn't have glasses..she was borrowing Grace's)

It was so funny to see what the first person did and what the last person ended up doing!
Thank you Grace for a wonderful party! I hope you had as much fun as we did: )

A day at the beach....

It was SO wonderful to see Dan again: )The Nelson's

It was my very first time seeing the Ocean, and I absolutely loved it: )

Trying to "catch" the waves

The boys played a pretty aggressive game of sand soccerRelaxing on the beach and trying to get a nice tan
(which ended up as a pretty impressive burn, but it was still fun)

All of us together

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderful made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
~Psalm 139:14

Busch Gardens

Friday morning we went to Busch Gardens a large amusement park in Williamsburg, VA! It was such a blast! We went early to avoid the lines, but there wasn't hardly any the whole day! It was really nice!

David and his two brothers, Michael and Daniel came with us.
Anna even tried one roller coaster! Roller Coasters normally don't agree with her, but she made it through this one!

We stopped for a quick lunch and were serenaded by some German dancers, it made for an interesting lunch break: )
After lunch we went of the biggest roller coasters, The Griffin! The Griffin was the largest and tallest of them all! It went up 200' dangled you over the edge, and then sent you flying down at a very fast speed. I was a little nervous about going on this one, especially since we went front seat. But it was, by far the most exciting ride: )

We went on a variety of rides, some made you scream for sheer "love of the ride" some out of sheer panic or fright, and some because you were getting soaked clear through!! On one of the last rides Anna got totally soaked for the ride home! Stopping for milkshakes made a perfect ending for our day at Busch Gardens!

Thank you so much Caleb! I had a Wonderful time!!!!!

The 1st Day

Thursday afternoon was to be the "work day" of our trip. After Caleb got off work, he took us to the store and we loaded up with lots of food to be converted into freezer meals for Dan and Caleb. While we did that the Micah and Luke painted the bathroom a lovely "robin's egg blue".

After we got the"work" done, and even though it was very cloudy, we headed out to swim in the neighborhood pool!Anna and I were very anxious to try out our new cute swimsuits!
The pool was so cold! Caleb tried to warm us up by doing creative things like, swimming across the pool with your hands behind your back and feet together, and going across the length of the pool underwater without coming up for air...needless to say only a couple of us succeeded: )

That evening Caleb's buddy David came over, two of his brothers who were there for the weekend came over as well. Now all we needed to complete our party was my brother who came Friday right after he got off work!

Caleb fired a couple rubber bands at Anna and I which turned into a huge rubber band fight. The teams were a bit unfair, girls against guys. 5 against 2 which wasn't quite fair but we held our own!!

We were all ready to go

when we reached the airport at 4:30 Wednesday morning to catch our flight that would take us to Virgina. But that was not to be, our original flight got canceled and then the next one got delayed so we ended up not leaving till around 11:00 that afternoon. It was so exciting to finally be on our way!!
We got into Virgina around 6:00pm. Caleb Nelson came, picked us up and the fun began!!
I knew this trip was going to be wonderful, but it was so much more then that!!!!

I wanted to get a quick post out to say that I am still alive and back in NE, and I have so many more pictures I want to post, so keep checking!
