One year ago today...

Feb 1st at 1:06am
Alaina Hamilton Beasley
went to be with her Sovereign Lord.

She left behind; a husband, who adored the very ground she walked on, a loving family, the Moores, who everyday miss the light she gave and was, in their life. As well as many, many friends who grieve for the lively joy she expressed in every part of her life.

I miss her smile, the joy in which she lived life. I miss her humor and cheerful banter! Her love for her husband would just fill you with delight. And then of course...the spunk, that little extra kick, that is so characteristic for a red-head. Her stubbornness matched no other...but neither did her humility to admit her fault when she was wrong.

And for those of you who never knew her...she was the perfect wife for my adventure-loving brother. She accompanied him on any excursion that entered his mind to go. Whether biking, hiking, basketball, a trip to the Caribbean, walking, running, dancing, sledding, skeet shooting, skiing...or as she put it "I don't care what I do as long as I'm with him."

Her very life screamed of her love for life, God and her husband.
And now...she is really living!
Worshipping the Love of her life...except this time...its face-to-face.
Her dreams have come true...in an unfathomable way!

But maybe you are just a blog stalker *smile* and don't know Josh or Alaina...and so are wondering what this is all about. Click here to read the newspaper article about the accident.
Also if you would like to leave a comment for Josh....I will copy them out and send them to him. Just be sure to put your name:) Thank you for ALL you prayers!!!

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15 (Alaina's favorite verse)

My family and I continue to pray for Alaina's family. . . .especially for Josh.
What a comfort to know she lived her life glorifying God and is now worshipping Him in Heaven.
What beautiful memories you have. . cherish them.
Josh, we wish you strength, grace, and peace as you move forward without your precious Alaina. Continue to rely on your Savior and someday you'll see her again!

What a sweet post Anna! I continue to pray for your family, the Moore's and especially Josh. What a comfort you have knowing that Alaina is indeed with the Love of her life.

((HUGS!!)) to you and those you love!

I didn't know either, but I have followed their story [confession: I'm a stalker] through the Wissmann's, your blog and news reports. Alaina sounded like such a wonderful girl, an absolute joy to be around. And Josh's love for her is evident. My heart breaks for him and both families, but know that God is in control.

I didn't know Alaina very well. But whenever I talked to her she always made me feel like what I had to say was important to her. She asked me questions and was always interested in my life or what I was doing.

When I remember her, I remember her with a smile. I never saw her any other way.

Wow! I have never been the same since I heard the testimonies from others in how she touched their lives just like she had mine. I want to be like her! I want to spend all my time here on earth to glorify God.

I'm praying for Josh and your family along with the Moore family. I pray that God, who is "able to do exceeding abundantly above all the we ask or think" (Eph. 3) would bless and comfort you and give you renewed energy to serve Him!

Well I'll admit I am a blog stalker here. But as you know I know Josh and the testimony that he is. I never met Alaina since we did not start attending Millard until after the accident. We actually heard about it before we started attending through some friends of friends of Josh's. We prayed for you all then, though we didn't know you personally, and are praying for you know as you continue to go through this. May God make His plan know.
In Christ,
