This afternoon while I was shopping for my cute seersucker, John called and gave us a graphic account of how they had caught a HUGE snake!! Right when we pulled in the driveway they rushed out to the car to get us to go look at it in the pasture. So I grabbed my camera and headed out. It was a large thing and I still don't know how 3 sneaky little boys managed to get a very sly not to mention angry snake into our small aquarium. But they did!! I could hear the thing before I even saw it! It was hissing up a storm!!! So I wanted to take a video of its ferocious sounds but.....as I was, it well ummm...it tried to strike me and let me tell you it was a surprise!!
It was really quite startling I still jump every time I watch the movie!
Steve really enjoyed watch him hiss...
The sneaky little snake...I don't think I like him anymore!

BTW, would you email the apron pictures to Susie? I forgot to do that last night...or you could email them to me. Ya, can you send them to me? Thanks...
Isn't it great when God sends unexpected things into our life. This time he wanted to show you some of His creation. That is what makes life so exciting! Ellie
The CAPTURE!
With Commander Phillip in charge and John and Stephen under his command they took the high jump pole (a long 10 ft. piece of PVC pipe) and slipped a laundry basket on the end of the pole. They gingerly stretched it over the top of the unsuspecting, sunning-himself creature and dropped it over the top of him.
With weapons in hand (nearby sticks) Phillip commanded John and Stephen to approach the snake from the front. Reared up and hissing the whole time, the huge snake retreated right into the tipped-on-its-side aquarium which Commander Phillip had bravely and stratically placed behind the snake. Once in, John hurriedly uprighted the aquarium but the snakes head was still sticky out. So Commander Phillip fearlessly pushed the snakes head in with his "sword", quickly put the lid on and summoned his commrades to put weights on top to prevent escape!
Capture SUCCESSFUL!
Mom was thinking, "What a great deal that aquarium, lid and heat lamp was at a garage sale, all for only a $1!...now if we could only remember where we put that heat lamp thing that goes on top." :-) The entertainment...I mean education...has only begun.--Mom Beasley
P.S.-One of the benefits of having debri left in the yard as in laundry basket from the previous days water baloon fight, the high jum pole and leftover fort building sticks. Uh hummm!...sigh
It is a huge snake!!!
Sometime well the boys were trying to capture it they lit a piece of news paper on fire.
Don't ask me where I got such brave brother's.
cooleo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
